These are the Terms & Conditions for Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience. By purchasing a ticket or participating in the experience, you agree to comply with these terms:

  • Expenses: We're unable to cover the resulting costs of any related travel, accommodation or other charges incurred around your visit.

3. CONTENT WARNINGS

  • Content: Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience contains themes of martians, swearing, religion, violence and death.

  • Children's Admission: The recommended minimum age to take part in the experience is 8 years old but this is left to parent’s discretion.

4. ACCESSIBILITY

  • Experience Effects: Our experience includes various effects, including virtual reality, motion simulators, uneven surfaces, confined spaces, air blasts, latex, strobe lighting, flashing lights, loud noises, live actors, fog, water spray, scent and temperature changes so please consider any health conditions or medical concerns before participating.

  • Age Restrictions: The recommended minimum age to take part in the experience is 8 years old.  Children under 16 years old must have parent/guardian consent through the waiver before admission, and they must be accompanied by an adult aged 18yrs or over at all times. If a child chooses to leave the experience for any reason, they must be accompanied by an adult. The experience includes a licensed bar so young adults aged 16-17 must also be accompanied by someone over the age of 18.

  • Health Considerations: If you have any health conditions that may be aggravated by the experience, please take those into account before booking. We are not qualified to express an opinion that you are fit to safely participate, so if this is required, please obtain specialist advice from a medical professional before participating.

  • Suitability: This experience is not suitable for sufferers of: high blood pressure, heart conditions, Epilepsy, back/neck conditions, breathing or respiratory conditions, nervous conditions or blindness.

  • Mobility: This experience is not wheelchair accessible. The motion simulators may make the experience unsuitable for individuals with missing or artificial limbs, those wearing casts or individuals with certain body shapes or sizes.

  • Temporary Effects: While it is rare, some individuals may experience temporary effects during or after the performance, such as dizziness, loss of balance, headache, muscle discomfort, or sensations resembling those of air jets, fog effects, or scents. Please rest assured that these effects are generally rare and temporary.

  • Fears: This experience is not suitable for those with extreme fears of heights (acrophobia), confined spaces (claustrophobia) or the dark (nyctophobia).

  • Slide: Whilst using the slide guests must adhere to the following rules:

    • One person at a time on the slide.

    • Follow the instructional images displayed at the top of the slide.

    • One person at a time on the slide.

    • Make sure mobile phones are secure in your pockets.

    • Do not carry items with you on the slide.

    • Wait until you are given the signal to go.

    • Use the elasticated foot sacks provided to hold your feet inside.

    • Do not attempt to hold the sack with your hands.

    • Slide, seated, feet first with arms crossed, laying on your back.

    • Do not attempt to stop half way down.

    • Inform us if you wish to take an alternative route.

Use of the slide is optional and guests have the choice to take the staircase instead. The Company takes all steps necessary to make it as safe as possible but it is impossible to eliminate all risk due to the nature of the activity.

  • Virtual Reality: Whilst using the VR equipment, please let our team members know if you have any problems or discomfort. The equipment will shut down in case of a fire alarm for safety.

  • Glasses: If you normally wear glasses it is recommended you wear them for this experience or use contact lenses. The VR headsets are fully adjustable to accommodate glasses.

  • Hearing Aids: If you wear hearing aids, please let our team know and they will assist you with positioning the VR headsets.

  • Accessibility Questions: If you have any questions before your visit, feel free to reach out and contact access@lwtickets.co.uk. If you have any concerns during the experience, please speak to a member of our team so they can help you or suggest alternative options.

5. GENERAL TERMS

  • Bag Search: Upon request by our team, you and your party must allow your bags to be searched before entering the venue. This is to ensure everyone's safety and security.

  • Waiver Requirement: All guests must complete a waiver to participate. For children aged 8 to 16 years, a parent or guardian must provide consent and sign the waiver on their behalf.

  • Responsibility for Children: Parents assume full responsibility for children under 16 years using the VR equipment inside the experience and are fully liable for their well-being. Please note that manufacturer guidelines recommend VR headsets for children aged 12 years and above. Children under 8 years old and less than 120cm in height cannot be admitted. Children aged 8 to 16 years must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over. The experience includes a licensed bar so young adults aged 16-17 must also be accompanied by someone over the age of 18.The adult may be asked to provide identification as proof of the child's age. Failure to provide proof may result in refusal of admission without a refund.

  • Food & Drinks: Only food and drinks purchased within the venue are allowed to be consumed on the premises. Outside food, drinks, and chewing gum are not permitted inside the experience.

  • Smoking: Smoking, including the use of e-cigarettes, is strictly prohibited on the premises.

  • Start Times: Latecomers will not be admitted. It is important to arrive on time for your scheduled ticket time to ensure a smooth experience. Please plan accordingly.

  • Intoxication: Any guest who appears to be intoxicated may be refused admission or removed from the experience without a refund. We prioritise the safety and enjoyment of all participants.

  • Lockers: Lockers are available at the venue to store bags and loose articles (storage of items is subject to a charge per guest). Personal belongings are stored at the owner's risk, and the Company cannot be held responsible for any lost or stolen items.

  • Clothing & Footwear: We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and flat trainers for your safety and comfort. High heels, boots, flip flops, or similar footwear are not permitted. Our team reserves the right to refuse entry if there are any concerns regarding health and safety.

  • Electronic Devices: All mobile phones and electronic equipment must be switched off or disabled while inside the experience. This ensures an immersive and uninterrupted experience for all guests.

  • Photography & Recording Equipment: The use of photographic or recording equipment of any kind is strictly prohibited within the experience. The Company reserves the right to delete any unauthorised recordings. Any guest found making recordings may be removed from the experience without a refund.

  • Light Usage: To maintain the immersive atmosphere, no light sources can be used inside the experience, including mobile phone screens, laser pointers, and torches.

6. SAFETY & SECURITY

  • Team Member Instructions: Please follow the instructions provided by our team members. These instructions are essential for the health and safety of all guests.

  • Walking & Running: Guests are required to walk in a forward direction and refrain from turning back unless directed by a team member. Running inside the experience is strictly prohibited.

  • Respectful Communication: During the performance, our team members may use language that some guests may find offensive. We kindly request that guests refrain from swearing or using offensive language towards our team members.

  • Team Member Interaction: As part of the immersive experience, our team members may engage in light physical contact, such as touching hands, arms, shoulders, legs, or the top of the head. If you would not like to be touched then please inform a member of staff on arrival and they will be able to get a manager to advise you on avoiding this. Guests must not initiate physical contact with our team members.

  • Props & Sets: Guests are not permitted to remove any items from the experience, including props and sets. These elements contribute to the immersive environment and should remain undisturbed. Any damage to props and sets, including VR headsets, may result in removal from the experience without a refund. 

  • Climbing Restrictions: Climbing sets, walls, doors, or props is not permitted unless specifically instructed by a team member.

  • Compliance with Instructions: Guests who fail to comply with instructions or disregard safety warnings, whether communicated through signs or verbally by a team member, may be removed from the experience without a refund.

  • Respectful Behaviour: Inappropriate behaviour such as shouting, appearing to be intoxicated, engaging in drunkenness, violence, or abusive conduct that may disturb other guests or our team members is strictly prohibited.

  • Naked Flames: The use of any form of naked flames, including matches, lighters, or sparklers, is strictly forbidden inside the experience.

  • Prohibited Items: Weapons (real or imitation), full head masks, or any other items that could potentially cause damage or injury to persons or property are not permitted inside the venue.

  • Misuse of Safety Equipment: Tampering with or misusing safety equipment or devices that are in place for the well-being of all participants is considered a criminal offence. Offenders will be removed from the experience without a refund and may face legal consequences.

  • Non-compliance: Should any guest fail to comply with these Terms & Conditions, the Company reserves the right to refuse admission or remove the guest from the experience at its own discretion.

7. VIRTUAL REALITY

  • VR Time: Three scenes include the use of a VR headset and each of these parts of the experience last for ten minutes or less.

  • VR Equipment: To engage in the VR experience, it is necessary to wear a headset that blocks your view of the real location. The headset includes headphones to prevent hearing the outside world.

  • Individual Reactions: VR experiences can be highly realistic, and each person reacts differently. Most guests find the thrills, excitement, and surprises enjoyable. However, some guests may experience different emotions, disorientation, fear, or uncertainty about their surroundings.

  • Assistance: If you encounter any problems or issues with the VR equipment, please raise your hand, and our team will promptly assist you. If you feel unwell or uncomfortable at any point, we encourage you to remove the VR headset. Our staff members will be available to support you.

  • Assumption of Risks: By voluntarily using the VR equipment, you accept all physical, psychological, and financial risks associated with its use. It is important to assess your own health and well-being before participating in the VR experience.

  • Fire Alarm Protocol: In the event of a fire alarm, the VR system will immediately shut down. If this occurs, please remove your VR headset and follow the instructions provided by our team members. Your safety is our utmost priority.

8. CCTV & VIDEO RECORDING

  • Consent & Acceptance: By entering the experience, you grant your consent and acceptance of these Terms & Conditions. You acknowledge and agree that the Company or any authorised party may use the captured images featuring guests in perpetuity, for any promotional, advertising, or publicity material in any format.

  • Copyright Ownership: The copyright for all photographs and recordings, regardless of their nature, belongs to the Company or the respective authorised party. All pictures and recordings are owned by the Company.

  • Objections: If you have any objections to being filmed or recorded, we kindly request you to inform a member of our team before entering the experience. We will do our best to accommodate your concerns.

  • CCTV Surveillance: For the purposes of crime prevention and public safety, closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras are in operation throughout the venue. Please be aware that your activities may be recorded for security purposes.

9. LIABILITY

  • Loss or Damage: The Company accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage to persons or property, regardless of how it may occur, while on our premises. This includes any consequential or indirect loss or damage of any kind.

  • Emergency Evacuation: In the event of an emergency, whether genuine or not, the Company reserves the right to evacuate the experience. We prioritise the safety of our guests, and in such cases, we cannot be held liable for any delays, cancellations, or refunds.

  • Experience Cancellations: Occasionally, the Company may be forced to cancel experiences without prior notice. We understand the inconvenience this may cause, but we cannot be held liable for any resulting loss, damage, cost, or expense, including any consequential or indirect loss or damage.

  • Acts or Omissions of Others: The Company cannot be held liable for the acts or omissions of any third parties, including other guests or external factors. However, we always honor our legal liability to guests for any death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded or limited. This does not affect your statutory rights.

The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time without notice.
