Every ticket comes with our COVID Booking Guarantee, so you can buy tickets with complete confidence.

Our COVID Booking Guarantee lets you cancel your tickets anytime up until 5pm the day before your experience. If you cancel we’ll email you a gift voucher so you can rebook when you're ready. If you can’t make it due to coronavirus or COVID related restrictions and you don’t want to rebook, we will refund your order in full. You just need to let us know before 5pm the day before your experience.

The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience is a COVID-secure venue. It has all the government approved safety measures - it's why we're GOOD TO GO approved. GOOD TO GO is the government approved industry standard mark from VisitBritain.

To comply with the rule of six you'll be able to book up to six tickets with our COVID Booking Guarantee.

We will also be selling tickets in pairs until further notice and you’ll stay in your pair throughout the experience to aid social distancing. We've also temporarily reduced capacity to 8 people per timeslot.

TWOTW COVID-19 SAFETY MEASURES

Our mission is to create truly memorable experiences and we place the utmost importance on the safety and well-being of our guests and team members. We have introduced a range of new health and safety measures that seek to reduce the risks associated with the presence of COVID-19 that are in line with government advice and the requirements of local health authorities.

 

BEFORE VISITING

  • Please ensure you have made your booking online, where possible.
  • We politely request that you refrain from visiting our experience should you start displaying any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19.
  • Before leaving home, please check our website and social media pages for the latest information.
  • We are a cashless operation. Please be ready to make on-site payments using a bank card or digital device.
  • Please bring a suitable face covering. Guests are required to wear a face covering inside the experience. It is not a requirement for face coverings to be worn in the main bar or interval bar. These are also available to purchase at the venue should you require one on the day.
  • Please contact our Guest Services team if you have any questions before arriving or need to make an amendment to your booking.

 

UPON ARRIVAL

  • We have reduced the ticketed capacity of our experience to allow for social distancing and the best possible guest journey.
  • Inside the venue guests will notice information signage informing them of key safety messages and instructions.
  • We may require our guests to participate in non-invasive temperature checks as part of our Terms & Conditions Of Entry. Any guest who is displaying a high temperature associated with fever will not be permitted into the venue.
  • Guests will be required to complete waivers upon entering the venue. Waiver records will be logged for Track & Trace purposes.

 

SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES

  • We have introduced new capacity limits for our venue. These restrictions will help ensure there is enough room for social distancing.
  • Clear markers and signage have been installed to help guests keep a safe distance from one another.
  • We have installed hygiene screens at our box office and bars to help physically separate guests from team members.
  • Tables and chairs have been re-arranged in our bar areas to ensure enough distance between seated parties. In some areas they will be blocked to ensure there is a suitable gap between guests.
  • We have developed custom plans for the application of social distancing inside the experience, in order to minimise contact between parties. Strategies include separating guests, leaving empty seats and creating spaces between guests in motion simulators.
  • We have adapted or suspended some of the sensory elements & props and changed some of the scenes within the experience to ensure that social distancing is suitably maintained.
  • We have revised some of our standard operating procedures in order to reduce the proximity of our team members to guests. For example, the way in which our actors interact with our guests.

 

HYGIENE MEASURES

We have introduced the following:

  • Installation of hand sanitising stations around the experience.
  • Provision of VR disposable eye masks for guests, adding a layer of hygienic protection between the skin and the VR equipment. This is in addition to sanitising VR headsets after every usage.
  • Enhanced cleaning measures, throughout the day, which seek to disinfect high-frequency touch points. Self-clean antimicrobial technology is used around the building on doors, handles, bannisters and safety rails.
  • New menu offerings in our restaurant to reduce the number of high-frequency touch points. Disposable cutlery and condiments are available on request.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for team members. These include face masks, gloves and hand sanitiser stations. The use of such equipment and clothing by our team members is both to protect them and our guests.

 

ADDITIONAL MEASURES

  • As with our team members, we politely request that all our guests uphold the highest possible hygiene standards – whether it be when sneezing or coughing, through regular hand washing or the frequent application of hand sanitiser.
  • Our team members now participate in COVID-19 specific training courses instructing them how to stay safe, as well as how to keep our guests safe.
